Known as the treasure trove of the earth, New Zealand is a country rich with nature and from where greenery overflows. The impressions given by people visiting New Zealand from Japan are those of natural abundance, smiling faces, and of people living relaxed, comfortable lifestyles.

A safe environment to live in, and a high level of education it may be one of the best countries in the world to travel to for study. Advanced in harmonizing life with nature, New Zealand also deserves special attention for its dynamic public policy.

Japan and New Zealand - both island nations - are not only geographically similar, but both have much that can be learned from the other. With an aim to serve as a base for "people-to-people exchange", the Kansai-New Zealand Centre has been established in Temmabashi, Osaka.

The Japan New Zealand Centre hopes to carry out exchange with New Zealand in a wide range of fields such as education, culture, and sport.

In order for this Centre to meet the expectations of all those involved, and to carry out its role effectively, it is important that as many people as possible participate in the Centre's activities.

We invite the membership of all those having an interest in New Zealand. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I ask for your understanding in our endeavours, and ask for your valuable support and cooperation.
